Mayberg, a singer-songwriter who has made Leipzig his home, has been driving a new generation crazy for a good two years now. There’s a veritable Mayberg wave rolling over Germany. You can hear the influences of AnnenMayKantereit and Faber, but Mayberg stands for something quite unique – and it goes down a storm. He’s a jack of all trades, a limelight hog, a stylist. He swims against the current with his kitsch lyrics, he’s self-deprecating, insecure, affectionate, intimate, amusing. His music is danceable. Who can resist?
